Zovo Tally Import

Bank statement to Tally XML: Payment, Receipt and Contra vouchers ready to import.

Zovo Tally Import turns a bank statement (PDF, CSV, Excel or rows you paste) into a Tally import XML file of Payment, Receipt and Contra vouchers against your bank ledger. Narration keywords map rows to ledgers, unmatched rows go to a suspense ledger, ATM and cash rows become Contra entries, and an Excel review sheet lists each voucher. Each voucher is checked to balance before you download it.

What it does

Reads text PDF statements and CSV or Excel downloads from net banking, with Indian amounts (1,23,456.78), Dr/Cr columns and day-first dates
Payment, Receipt and Contra vouchers against your bank ledger, dated YYYYMMDD, in Tally's ENVELOPE/TALLYMESSAGE format
Narration keyword rules map rows to ledgers; anything unmatched goes to a suspense ledger you can clear in Tally
A ledgers XML creates any missing ledgers first, under the groups you choose
Opening + deposits - withdrawals = closing is checked to the paisa when balances are known
Excel review sheet with every voucher, the ledger chosen and why, and rows that need a look

Limitations

Text PDFs only: scanned statements need OCR first, or paste the rows
Up to 60 PDF pages and 20,000 rows per run
Does not post to Tally directly and does not choose ledgers by itself beyond your rules; it is not accounting or tax advice

ChatGPT: once Zovo Tally Import is approved, add it from the ChatGPT plugin directory.

Claude: go to Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector and enter https://tally-import.zovo.one/mcp. No sign-in is needed. Once Zovo Tally Import is listed in the Claude connector directory, you can add it from there too.
